Catholic Women’s League

Brief History: The Catholic Women’s League, known as the CWL is an international Organisation founded in 1906 by Margaret Fletcher, and our motto is: Charity, Work and Loyality. We are a registered Charity.

Objectives of the CWL are: to promote and support (under the guidance of the Hierarchy) charitable works on Parish, Diocesan and National Levels. To unite Catholic women in bond of common fellowship forming a national, non party political organisation. To train and encourage members to use their talents and skills in the service of the Church and community on local, national and international levels. To initiate and maintain charitable works, whether religious or educational or in the interests of moral and social welfare. To ensure Catholic representation of these interests on major public bodies.

Membership: is open to all women who agree to the Objects and Constitution of the League.
